For many years Adobe Flash Player was the standard for web interactivity. However, as technology has evolved, the web has shifted away from Flash and moved toward new open content formats such as HTML5. Consequently, Adobe plans to stop supporting Flash Player at the end of 2020. The move to this new technology brings some additional benefits:
- It eliminates the need to install and maintain third-party browser plugins and software.
- Its multi-platform support lets users easily switch among devices and browsers.
Currently, some of our products require Flash in order to play. The good news is that we’ve been working on transitioning the majority of our products over to HTML5. In fact, many of our products—the Foundations series, Reading Readiness, Reading Level 1, and Reading Assistant Plus—already use HTML5. We’ll be posting regular updates on this transition. We appreciate your patience during this process, as we work toward improving your Fast ForWord experience!
